PROS:
-More compatible with older programs
-Suitable for computer with CPU that have less than 1 GB of ram.

CONS:
-Need to manually install drivers and graphics card driver
-Microsoft does not release any update for this OS and it will be vulnerability to malware and hacker attacks.(Malicious software infection rate is higher in XP than Vista). More info: http://www.microsoft.com/security/portal/Threat/SIR.aspx
-Drivers cannot be updated to the latest to play the latest game.

PROS:
-Aero effect
-Same type of files(E.g. 2 ppt) are able to be view side by side.
-Able to switch the files position between with 1 and other.

CONS:
-Slow boot up(even with system optimization)
-Super irratating UAC(User account control)

PROS:
-Faster boot up(with system optimization)
-Enhanced battery life
-Enhanced Aero effect(Glass effect)
-Auto searching of installation of drivers and graphics card driver
-Use a lot lesser physical memory
-Different sound volume configuration for earpierce and speakers
-It will "remember" the brightness of your screen and will not reset to your battery default settings even after a reboot.
-Shake effect(Move the program up to maximize, move to the side and it will auto maximize to half of your screen)
-Less annoying UAC(user account control)
-Reduce icons in the taskbar(The "large icons" to replace quick launch)
-Recent history for quick access in the icon in the taskbar
-Switch between icons(including the program you are currently running)in the taskbar easily.


CONS:
-"Quick launch" is removed
-Same type of files(E.g. 2 ppt) are no longer able to be view side by side.
-No longer able to switch the files position between with 1 and other.

Conclusion:

Window XP:

Can't play the latest games and latest software due to incompatibility.

But is good for people with less than 1GB ram.

Window Vista:

Worst operating system ever created and becomes very slow after a while of using it.

Window 7:

The best,fastest and have the best "apperance".
