Here are some tips when doing online banking and online transaction:
-Always use the latest version of the browser so that you are protect against latest vulnerabilities attacks. Avoid using Internet Explorer since they have a vulnerability that have yet patch and Safari as Apple's softwares are known for the most vulnebilities holes. [Apple Source]
-Be sure you are on the correct site and not on a phishing site. This can be determined whether you are a safe site if you are using Firefox with WOT(Web-of-Trust) and McAfee's siteadvisor.
-Legit online transaction also websites have "https://" which stands for Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure or you can see a "lock" icon appear on top or below of the browser depending what types of browser you are using.
-Never share your passwords with anyone, create a good password consisting of numbers,
uppercase and lowercase letters and change it regularly. Also, do not use the same passwords for your online accounts especially anything that involves with money.
-Scan your computer regularly for malware with a up to date anti-malware.
-Use a wired connection to prevent people from hacking to your computer.
-Do not open any attachment from your email if they are asking for your personal details to confirm with them as bank don't ask for personal information.
-Never leave your session unattended and log off your online session after use.
-Check your Account balance and transaction history regularly. Also check your last login for your account and notify the staff if you notice any dubious login.
