Sometimes you can't access to your task manager or even to other like folder option, regedit. Usually is the caused by Virus infection or the administrator disabled it.

There are 3 solutions for the above problems:
1)
Use Regain Power program to bring back your task manager and other options. [Download]
2)
If you got the message"
taskmgr.exe - Bad Image The application or DLL
C:\WINDOWS\ system32\VDMDBG.dll is not a valid Windows Image. Please check
this against your installation diskette.
" after hitting
ctrl + alt + del. It might be a virus disabled it.

To solve it:
Go to C:\WINDOWS\system32 and delete
VDMDBG.dll. It will restore back the .dll file and the task manager will no longer be disabled.

3) If you have the time, do a full system scan using a up-to-date anti-virus.
