[Last update on 19/03/2010, Fri]

Internet explorer(IE):
Security:
Bad, unpatched(Charset Inheritance Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerability)
Time to patch vulnerability:
Very Long
Speed:
Average
Ease of use:
Average

Comments:
Usually IE is optimized in School and workplace.
Other browsers might be slow because of these configurations.
Most websites display are based on IE resolutions.

Rating:
3/5

Firefox(FF):
Security:
Very good(together with add-on like McAfee's siteadvisor and WOT)
Time to patch vulnerability:
Very fast(Average:2 to 3 days)
Speed:
Fast
Ease of use:
Good(especially when there are add-ons)

Comments:
FF have to ability to customized better than other browser because of the add-on capability.
However, too much add-ons might slow down the speed of FF.
FF will have the "not responding" message if you have a slow internet speed.

Rating:
4/5

Google Chrome(chrome):
Security:
Good(together with WOT)
Time to patch vulnerability:
Average
Speed:
Very fast
Ease of use:
Search and navigate to web pages from the same box.
Auto search of url. (Example, when u type f in the url bar, all the f related websites like facebook will appear.)
Get to your favorite websites with just a click, from the thumbnails of your most visited sites in the New Tab page

Comments:
Each tab operate on its own. So if 1 tab is not responding, we just have to close the 1 tab instead the whole browser.
When you open a lot of tab, it eats up a lot of ram usage.
Most of the add-ons doesn't really work well in chrome.

Rating:
4.5/5

Summary:
Use Chrome for casual web surfing with WOT extension.
Use Firefox(Latest version with McAfee's siteadvisor & WOT) for internet banking and to download things faster(with download accelerator like DAP).

*I'm using these 3 browsers to compared as they are the most commonly use.
