Increase space by reducing files sizes

Pictures/Images-

Save space by using VSO image Resizer to reduce files sizes. Set the resolution of the pictures to 920, 690 px and it will auto configure all the correct resolution for all images.

Videos-

WMV is the smallest format but the quality is not so good as AVI.

AVI is like a compressed format. It is a container to contain video format inside. It has the highest, lossless quality and it converts well to other formats later should you need to.

Use Any Video Converter to convert video files between every format.

*When video size is smaller, the quality will also be affected. In order to retain the quality, the size of the video can only reduce to a certain extent. The best way to save space is to delete the videos after watching or maybe upload to online storage/ or save to a portable hard drive. You can also watch online videos instead of downloading.

Can’t play video format?

Download K-Lite-Mega-Codec-Pack to play all the different type of video formats.

Audios- Lossy formats are recommended. Lossy audio formats are smaller in size since they discard information it considers unimportant during the encoding process.

E.g. MP3, AAC, Monkey's Audio, OptimFROG

Use Switch Sound File Converter to change audio format. Mp3 is recommended as it is the best when considering saving space since it also has near CD quality and is widely supported by both computers and players.
